St. Patty's Day Cards For Kids with free printable

It's almost St. Patty's Day and I wanted to share some cards that my son and I made to send to his grandparents this year. We were also playing with Microsoft paint to make some images and I'm sharing my first printable today too :)

St. Patrick's Day is such a fun holiday whether you're Irish for the day or year 'round ;) This is a fun project to get your little one ready for the leprechauns.  He/she can cut the images, glue them in place and decorate to their heart's content.

We used card stock to make our cards, but heavy construction paper will work too. These images should work well on whatever sizes you prefer or have available.

Supplies Needed:

  • Card stock or construction paper, folded to your preferred card size
  • St. Patrick's Day images, CLICK HERE to open
  • Photo with 1 - 1 1/2" front view of your little leprechaun
  • Circle paper punch (optional)
  • Adhesive (we used glue sticks)
  • Scissors
  • Embellishments
  • Crayons, colored pencils or markers

**The free printable is available via Slide Share. Be sure that your printer is set for 8/12" x 11" paper size and the images should work without a hitch.
***I would appreciate you sharing this free printable, but ask that you link to this blog post to do so.

Putting It Together:

  1. Cut images from printable.
  2. Attach greeting images to card front.
  3. Use circle punch or hand cut your image into a rounded shape. (A pop bottle lid is a good size if you're looking for something to trace.)
  4. Attach leprechaun hat and beard to your photo image.
  5. Adhere your little leprechaun and sentiment to inside of card.
  6. If your little one wants to add additional artwork, do that now.

If you're looking for another St. Patty's project, be sure to check out my Leprechaun Pencil Toppers too.

We are looking forward to our next leprechaun visitor. Last year he left green pee in the toilet and tracks on the sink. At least he was a good reminder for the importance of hand washing LOL! Do you have leprechaun visits? What kind of messes do they get into at your house?

Have a Happy St. Patrick's Day and thanks for stopping by,
Terri
