These bunny gift tags are really easy to make. The kiddos can help with most of it. They're perfect for attaching to small Easter gifts and gift bags or look really cute tied onto a basket.
I saw some cute carrot treat bags at the dollar store (which of course I didn't get because the last thing my son's classmates need is more candy!) but these would look adorable tied to those. If they have any left I'm probably going to get them anyway ;) Maybe I can fill them with cheerios instead of jelly beans?
As you'll see in the photos, I started off with shapes cut from a sheet of randomly watercolored paper and then decided they'd be cute with some patterned paper. I used sheet music, scrapbook paper and wallpaper. I can't decide which I like best :)
What you'll need:
- Cardstock (or precut tags)
- Paper to make the bunnies (this is a great scrap buster)
- 1 1/2" Circle Punch (or something round to trace)
- Oval Paper Punch, or you can cut freehand (mine is from Stampin' Up)
- Ribbon or string
- Hole punch (love my Crop-A-Dile for this - I can punch through all of them at once)
- Easter greeting stamp (or you can write it)
- Edge Paper Punch(optional)
Assembling your tags:If you're not using precut tags cut your cardstock into 4 1/2" x 2 3/4" size for the tags.
For each bunny you'll need 1 circle and 2 ovals. Glue the ovals to the circle for ears. (Be careful not to spread them out too much so they won't be wider than the tag.)
Use your edge punch to make a decorative edge or edges.
Decide where your stamp or greeting will be, where your bunny will be, and then punch a hole for the ribbon.
Glue your bunny onto the tag.
Stamp or write your greeting.
I've kept mine simple, but you can embellish as desired....glitter, stickers, flowers, maybe some little carrots.
Thread your ribbon and you're done!
I told you they were easy! Now just tie them to your gifts and wait for the oohs and awws :) What kind of paper are you going to use for the bunnies? Let me know in the comments below. I'd love to hear your ideas!
Have a HAPPY EASTER!!
